  3. hi chad, i read your calibration on the sharp lc-70le732u. i am lookin to put two of these in our church verus the front projection. i was interested in getting the settngs for each adjustment for this tv. can you provide them?

    I live in southern California. Anyone out here you would recommend for calibration? If not, any website that lists California calibrators?
  5. Hi Chad, I went into the Service menu on my Samsung D8000 plasma and under the panel auto setting it said "failure." All of the rest of the categories said "success." Is there something wrong with my tv? Also in the ADC portion of my service menu the HDMI calibration says "failure." I pressed enter on the remote and then it said wait. After about two minutes it said failure again and my picture has a reddish tinge to it. Any recommendations or should I return the set? Thank you.

    I just got the 82838. I had an isf tech II come by &calibrate my set to the standard.

    I too find the colors are to soft & neutral a little yellowy but the skin tones looked great. It's also Cyan heavy.

    It's ok for 3d blu ray, (In the isf day, I crank up the color & brightness) For sat tv I use factory Brilliant adjusted by me, in the consumer menus. It feels more modern ( most TV now a days are about graphics)

    My question is: My tech turned off all of the extras like , edge enhance, deep field etc ( which I am fine with) but he also said he turned off DARK DETAILER. I had the 737 for a day and upgraded to the 838 for that feature.

    You mentioned that there is a "non defeatable dymanic iris". Is that DARK DETAILER? If so, I presume that even though my tech thought he turned it off...he could not? I mention this because I would like it turned back on if it is gone. Mitsubishi referred me back to my Mits dealer.
