They struggle against Cleveland and Orlando, so it looks like a tough second round. But they have a chance, it'll take some great play though. Talent is there, they are very athletic and I don't think there is a more entertaining team to watch in the NBA!
They just got to get past Orlando! I think they match up with Cleveland a little better. If they could just make it to the Finals against the Lakers, they usually play them tough.

How sweet that would be. I think in reality though, the Lakers have a much better shot at reaching the Finals than the Hawks do. But I can dream!!!

I can't believe the Lakers and Cavs both lost game 3. WTF!!

    ATL all the way!!

Josh Smith didn't make any friends in Milwaukee....

"I never really did anything in Milwaukee. So I'll just be happy to find a restaurant," the Hawks forward said Thursday after practice. "I'm not bashing anybody in the city. But I really never actually did anything in Milwaukee. So I don't know how to get around or what's around there."

"Would you go? Would you go? Would you go up there?" Smith responded when asked if he would vacation in Milwaukee. "Everybody knows there ain't nothing to do in Milwaukee, man. Everybody knows that."

    I love me some basketball!!

Soo its looking like the Thunder have a chance at upsetting the defending champs, I think Kobe is more hurt than he has let on and I think Scott Brooks really did derserve "Coach of the Year". I cant wait for tomorrow to see if the Thunder can steal one at home.. I hate the Lakers with a passion!!!

My Nuggets are a very big let down, they played soo well and than when injuries hit and Coach Karl went down with cancer they fell apart, Martin is still hurt the Birdman is not the same with a messed up hand and two knees that need rest. I was actually thinking about filing a missing persons report as JR Smith is all but missing in this post season.. Not to take away anything from Utah but they are equally as beat up and are dominating the Nuggets, from a talent stand point they should be equal but the games just are not that close (except game 1).

I see the east as being pretty clear cut, the Cavs and Magic will see eachother in the conference finals as I dont think Atlanta has what it takes to win big games on the road against the Magic and Boston is just too old for the Cavs.

I guess we will see what happens though, this is why they play the game.

I'd say you're right on here. Atlanta is as good as anyone at home. But they can't win games away from home. If they could ever get it figured out on the road, the rest of the leauge would have to watch out.

Its sad really because when the Hawks play their game I cant see too many teams standing toe to toe for 7 games, I watched game 3 against the bucks and I was like WTF where are the Hawks?

I dont want to put it on the coach but something needs to be done or else they might lose some of their talent, JJ's contract is up this summer and there is no guarantee he will come back, although I bet if they make it to the conference finals he will be back for sure.

I'm not sure what JJ wants to do. He acts like he wants to stay and says he does, he just doesn't like negotiating contracts during the season. So he says, you never know. Money talks!
If he left I'd love to see the Hawks get D. Wade, but they'd never spend that kind of money.

Yea I dount JJ would leave but if his team cant make it out of the first round I think he would test the free agent market, as for D. Wade who ever gets him is going to be one lucky team, the guy can make the playoffs on his own, imagine what he could do with a decent team...

Well the Hawks lose another game on the road, although it was much more competitive than game 3 so they are improving, I am hoping to see them challenge Orlando next round, so they better hold serve on their home floor.

It's weird isn't it? The court is the same length, the baskets are still 10 feet high, but just because you aren't HOME, teams look so lost sometimes.
