    Default $1500 Receiver Help

    werthliving.com

I am looking to upgrade my yamaha rx v471 to a high end receiver. I've looked at Denon, pioneer elite, and yamaha. My speakers are Mirage OS3fs/OS3cc/OS3sats. The sats max is 150w and the rest are 175w. The use will be for my 5.1 movie watching and tv watching in my living room. I want one that I don't have to worry about overheating since it will be in a closed cabinet and the only time its open is for playing xbox or watching movies. Thanks for all your help

How big is this cabinet? You sir are a braver man then I. Had an AVR overheat and die in a closed cabinet once. Once bitten.....

I agree, but some of the onkyo models have dual cooling fans and it runs cool. Id go for the 3010 for power, but Id make sure it has fans.

All my stuff is kept open now, at least front and back.
