It is actually like what Klipsch does with their tweeters, but for LF, so you don't feel its harsh due to unidirectional waves and such. Its really a fantastic design type, IMO.
I am trying to save $130 on the next T30 and go with the Eminence lab 12, but the danley guy says it would be a big mistake to get rid of the b&c. I tried to tell him it won't matter and the extra money spent will just be wasted. Plus it doesn't take a genius to see that the lab 12 is a much much more durable driver.

I would save the money and go for the Lab12. I'm a fan of Eminence Audio.

2 subs would be a better ideal, but most houses of worship aren't looking to hit 110+dbs, so using one well placed and EQ'd sub, you can get respectful results.

My next goal is to get you to try some Ewaves!

Start here, as Zilch is the creative mind behind the Ewaves

There are many forums that have a bunch of folks joining in on the experience. This next link gives more reading and links

Very affordable, easy to build, designs are detailed, this is a proven DIY build.

I have been following ErichH at www.DIYsoundgroup.com while he has several designers working on SEOS waveguide designs. They have started the process, and I believe he said they are on phase 5 now. These use Polish made waveguides couopled with a variety of drivers and woofers. Finished designs will likely be sold as kits through Parts Express. They have Fr graphs for a 12" and 15" already, and it looks great. They are designing passive XOs too.
