    Default Dell 4K Monitor

Dell is coming out with an affordable 4K monitor under $1k. It's a 28" P2815Q. They do now have the 32 UltraHD but it's $3k ouch.
My question would be what graphics card would a PC require to operate one these monitors? I read where Apple's Mac Pro is also capable of driving a 4k display with its dual graphics card run by the Thunderbolt 2 OS.

I would love to have an Ultra HD monitor in my office, at least a 28"

Just doing normal 2D stuff most graphics cards would be fine, you'd use DisplayPort 1.2 that's MST capable to connect to the monitor (nothing else, aside from HDMI 2.0, can do the high resolution in a single cable), so that means a modern AMD (ATI) card, NVIDIA isn't shipping DP 1.2 cards AFAIK.

Asking pretty much any single-GPU solution to do 3D gaming at Ultra HD or higher resolution gets to be a whole other ball of wax though.

If you're doing graphic editing, desktop publishing etc. you may not want that monitor, since to get it to that price point it uses TN LCD tech instead of IPS. For casual use it's probably fine. http://www.tested.com/tech/pcs/45987...ll-4k-monitor/

Well I'm using monitors for graphics arts and some video editing, I upgraded to the Nvidia GTX 670 so I would imagine it would be sufficient.
