I am very interested in a Marantz receiver but have not heard one. I have experience with Onkyo surround sound but not music. How do they sound as far as music? I am considering a 2.1 setup.

My buddy has a Marantz (can't recall model number) and to my ear they are a very neutral sounding AVR, maybe leaning on the warm side. Similar to Denon. Which means, I love the way they sound. For music, I think Marantz and Denon both sound fantastic.

I've had a few Marantz receivers in the past and enjoyed them musically and their build quality and reliability was excellent. I've never had one as an AVR but, I'm assuming they would be of equal consistency and quality.
