Default Emotiva XPA-3 on the way

My previous setup had always been AVR's, I then tried out a open box X4000 (for XT32) and a B stock Outlaw 7125 to jump into this world. Loved it. Well, the X4000 started having issues so I punted.

I then picked up a 4520 for cheap as they are being replaced with the new 2014 flagship, and now the XPA-3 is on the way.

Hopefully the XPA-3 serves me as well as the Outlaw did.

Thing is a 60lb monster. Sound is crisp and clear, sounds good with the Klipsch speakers so far. 200w per channel RMS with all channels driven is of course more than plenty to ensure the Klipsch stay fed. Not bad for $700 which included 3 RCA cables.

Have had a hard time making the amp even get warm, but I pushed pretty hard on Into the Storm and the last 20 mins is pretty action packed with regards to active audio. Left and right channels got warm, but the middle channel for the center was still pretty cool. I'd expect the two front towers to be more power intensive.

Impressed so far with the amp sound and performance, especially when you consider what they sell for.
