I've been keeping an eye on these since MP showed they would be selling these in pairs for those who want 7.1. I've been extremely happy with my Energy Takes and can't wait to add a pair of these to the setup:

I'll be sure to post my thoughts on the clones when I get them if no one else here has.

Yeah, it is listed under product code 10396. The sub will be sold separately too, code 10394.

Star killer I didn't know you had an emotiva amp! That should be plenty of power for those Energy's!!

I notice all the Energy clones, including the initial 5.1 set, are out of stock at the moment. I wonder if they're on hold while the situation is sorted out.

Yeah, I bet they had an order in for more 5.1 systems that's en route from China. But the stereo pair and the sub separates are not until next month.

No doubt! I got the UPA-7 amp to replace 3 B&K Reference 2220's from back in the day. Very happy with it.

As a fellow Take owner, I gotta ask, why the heavy metal gear when they're just little speakers? I'd think you wouldn't gain much by going from say a decent AVR for the little guys.

The amp was left over from a previous speaker system (two actually) so I didn't buy it specifically for these speakers. Still, after trying the speakers with and without the amp, having the amp is the way to go for me.

Over kill? maybe, but IMO you can never have too much power.

Looks like the 5.1 package has been pushed back to 5/20.

And, the 5.1 package pushed back yet again to 7/3. The speaker pair and separate sub sku's still show 5/20 though.

I still think I might be right about it being held up by the legal issues, they just keep putting in a date as an estimate when they think things will be resolved.

Of course for all I know it's purely based on demand, and they already shipped out the few 5.1 sets they got from China this month, so then they had to push back the ETA to the date of the next expected shipment.

Yeah, hard to say. I fired off an email inquiring on the hold up. Will be sure to post when they get back to me.

Ugh! So, looks like the stereo pair and sub options got pushed back finally too. Can't say I didn't see it coming, but at this point, I thing I'm just going to buy a whole other Take package and just use two speakers out of that for 7.1.
